Unravel Complexity.
Map Biology in Unprecedented Detail.

The Spatial Omics Atlas Research (SOAR) Grant: Seeing Biology in Multiomics Dimensions is a specific research support program for European scientific community designed to empower scientists pioneering novel applications of multiomics technologies. This grant supports groundbreaking projects that integrate cutting-edge methodologies to build dynamic, high-resolution biological atlases.

By harnessing the convergence of spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, and single-cell RNA sequencing, the SOAR Grant aims to unlock unprecedented insights into complex biological systems, from cancer heterogeneity and microenvironment dynamics to personalized therapeutic discovery.

Key benefits of the the Grant

• Spatial omics and multidimensional analysis: Unify data from genes, proteins, and cells within their native tissue context - empower your research in full swing

• Large field of view with high resolution: Maintain tissue-wide context without sacrificing cellular detail - the only available solution you could achieve in the market

• Broad sample and species compatibility: Apply these powerful tools to a wide range of research models

Award

Grant winner will receive a comprehensive package of reagents and training to support their project, including:

12 Stereo-seq samples library preparation (FF V1.3 or Stereo-OMNI or Stereo-CITE) and sequencing reagents

16 single Cell library preparation and sequencing reagents

10 plex immuno-fluorescence with FluoXpert solution

Additional support for all applicants:

• Special discount: All applicants who submit a complete and eligible proposal, but are not selected for the full grant, will receive a special discount on Stereo-seq library preparation reagents

• Sequencing support: MGI can also facilitate introductions to qualified service providers to support the sequencing workflow

• Complimentary Training: Grant winners will receive a complimentary seat at a Stereo-seq and Single Cell Omics training workshop at the Berlin Customer Experience Center (CEC)

Solutions offered

Our SOAR Grant offers researchers the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge spatial omics and single cell solutions from STOmics and MGI. This integrated prize empowers scientists to capture data from multiomics layers, delivering a holistic view of biology that drives deeper insights, stronger discoveries, and more impactful outcomes.

By integrating spatial, cellular, and protein-level information, awardees can achieve a truly comprehensive understanding of their research projects.

• Stereo-seq FFv1.3

Stereo-seq delivers a complete "tissue-to-data" experience by enabling unbiased, whole-transcriptome capture at nanoscale resolution across a centimeter-sized field of view. The upgraded Stereo-seq V1.3 solution offers even higher capture efficiency, enabling robust single-cell analysis directly from fresh frozen tissue sections. Furthermore, it allows for seamless integration with tissue morphological data, such as ssDNA or H&E staining, on the same section, directly linking molecular maps to tissue architecture.

• Stereo-seq OMNI

Stereo-seq OMNI is a revolutionary sequencing-based spatial transcriptomics solution to study your FFPE samples. Stereo-seq OMNI unlocks holistic RNA atlases to explore regulatory networks beyond coding genes. Covering a continuous tissue area of 10mm by 10mm, Stereo-seq OMNI delivers best-in-class data and bioinformatics workflow for analyzing spatial RNA information at single cell resolution.

• Stereo-CITE

Combined with Cellular Indexing of Transcriptomes and Epitopes by Sequencing (CITE-seq), STOmics Stereo-CITE Proteo-Transcriptomics Set is intended for simultaneous detection of the whole transcriptome and 100+ plex protein on the same fresh frozen tissue section.
Stereo-CITE facilitates the study of tissue heterogeneity and associated biological significance in complex (disease) tissues, leading to a broader understanding of spatial omics studies.
